DCVault is our attempt to give that community a proper home again, all in one place. It comes in two parts: the wiki, a curated knowledge base on clients, hubs, and the NMDC and ADC protocols, and this forum, where we actually talk, ask for help, and share what we know.
What we want to build:
- An easy on-ramp for newcomers, without digging through old, scattered guides.
- A place where hub operators and developers can swap knowledge that does not vanish when a hub goes offline.
- A scene that feels a little more alive and connected again.
A bit of honesty: we are just getting started. The wiki is still filling up and the forum is brand new, so some corners are empty. That is on purpose. We would rather build this with you than hand you something finished and frozen. If something is missing, wrong, or could be better, say so. Early feedback shapes everything that comes after.
What you can do right now:
- Introduce yourself and say hello.
- Ask your first question, however basic it feels.
- Share a hub, a client tip, or something you wish you had known when you started.
- Browse the wiki and tell us what is missing.
And the big one: help spread the word. DCVault only works if people find it. If you run or visit a hub, know other DC users, or hang around related communities, point them here. A link in your hub, a word to a friend, a post somewhere fitting, it all helps more than you would think.
